Founder Story

Chaiolic was born from a shared passion for tea and decades of corporate experience. Purnangshu Bose spent nearly 30 years in leadership roles at Samsung, Fujitsu General, Carrier and Panasonic, travelling across India and discovering the vibrant chai culture at local tea stalls. These journeys inspired him to start documenting chai stories through a Facebook page called Chaiolic.

Purnangshu’s Tea Journey

His curiosity led him to pursue tea tasting courses, a Tea Sommelier program and plantation studies. He travelled to Assam and Darjeeling to connect with growers and estate owners, deepening his understanding of tea production. Tea also runs in his family — his forefathers once owned the Anila Tea Estate in Tripura, later acquired by Luxmi Tea Group.

Supti’s Role

Supti Bose, with her background at HDFC and Cambridge University Press, played a pivotal role in nurturing Chaiolic. She helped transform it from a storytelling platform into a workplace beverage brand, bringing curated chai experiences to modern offices.

Today, Chaiolic continues to grow with a simple belief — chai is more than a drink, it’s a culture. We bring thoughtfully curated chai and beverage experiences into everyday workplaces, keeping alive the tradition of conversations and connections over a cup of tea.
